Lil Events Co. is a small business created to provide an inclusive event planning and coordination experience, here to help anybody and everybody bring their vision to life. Weddings aren't copy and paste and should never be created like a cookie cutter operation. We here at Lil Events Co. thrive on individuality and will provide professional, personalized, and inclusive experiences to any client and couple we work with. We focus on the lil details so you don't have to.

While planning our wedding we went through some super uncomfortable conversations as a lesbian identifying couple looking for vendors. We crossed out the word groom more times than you can count, got asked if we were sharing our venue (2 brides and 2 grooms) for a cheaper wedding, best friends going to the vendor meetings and so so much more. Lil Events Co. is committed to being an inclusive vendor in this ever growing industry while continuing to raise the bar on event expectations and execution. 

Along with being a first responder wife to my wife Shayna (right),  I (Breanne) am a fur mom to a mini labradoodle puppy and a full-time events coordinator in the sport industry . Originally from Ontario, with a educational background in event management, I always loved to plan and host my friends parties, events, and big moments. Once I moved to BC, got engaged and completely planned my wedding, I realized very quickly that this was more than a "love for planning" but instead a passion for creating memories and experiences that make other people feel the way I did while I was planning my wedding. 

 

I am also a proud member of the LGBTQ2AI+ community, I pride myself in getting to know the person behind the name and am excited to pour that philosophy into a business created to plan and execute love in every form it can be found.

A lot of thought went into our name and logo, not because we wanted to stand out but because we wanted to try to show who we are and what we stand for as a business. Lil (although cute) also stands for Love Is Love , we want everyone to feel welcome and included when inquiring with us. We have completely steered away from gendered terms, references, and copy and paste contracts instead focusing on individualized interactions, contracts, and packages to make sure it feels like it was made just for you. We will work to champion inclusivity in the industry and find other vendors that share our desire to create a memorable experience regardless of who the couple is.

The poppy with the love is love stem was created by me for one reason and one reason only, the love on my life and I are both november (poppy) babies. When I think about love I think about our love and I want to ensure everyone gets to feel the way I do when I am on cloud 9 with her.
